So,
After the opening Dennis decided that he wanted to put the large collage
panels up on the street. A few of us went out on Sunset Blvd to find a good
location. A friend of Dennis recommended a billboard and when we got there
it turned out that it happened to be a bunch of vans adds ( who he does work
for ) I watched from across the street as Dennis glued and drilled the
panels into place. A few minutes after he left i walked over with a friend
to try and get some photos of the finished piece, as we were standing there
Steve Olson (pro skater) skated up and we were all standing around admiring
the panels. A few minutes later Dennis came back and while we were all
standing around in front of the piece 2 guys pulled up in a fancy car and
started mouthing off about patrolling the billboard. They wanted whoever put
it up to get rid of it or they would be back in 20 minutes to throw it out,
they went to get a drill to take out the screws. So without saying anything
we waited until they were out of site, Dennis quickly went back and pryed
off the panels that he had just glued and drilled to the wall , put them on
top of his car and drove off before the guys came back. We relocated at a
new location at a construction site down the street and did it all over
again.
